Welcome

Welcome to Chandler, Arizona, the “Community of Innovation!”

Located southeast of Phoenix, Chandler was founded in 1912 by Dr. A.J. Chandler, the first veterinary surgeon for the territory of Arizona. Learn more about Chandler's history here!

Whether you’re here for work or for pleasure, we hope you’ll feel welcome here and take the time to enjoy everything that the area has to offer, from the impressive Sonoran Desert landscape to the high-quality food and entertainment.

Rules

Check-In	After 4:00 PM on your arrival day
Check-Out	Before 10:00 AM on your last day
Early/Late	No early check-in, late check-out, or early luggage drop-off
Pets	No pets allowed (service animals individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability are welcome)
Smoking	No smoking. Evidence of smoking will result in an enhanced cleaning fee.
Parties	No parties or events
Security	Always close and lock all windows and doors when you leave
Off-Limits	Do not use the garage, the shed, or the closet under the stairs
Damages	Let us know if anything breaks or gets damaged

Check-Out Asks

Dishes	Put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run it before you leave
Trash	Take extra trash/recycling to the bins on the right side of the house (blue bins are for recyclables only)
TVs	Don't forget to sign out of your streaming services if you don't want others using your account!
Belongings	Please check all drawers and closets before leaving. It will be difficult to retrieve things later!

Things to Know

Comfort

Let us know if anything isn’t right.
Fresh sheets, towels, and bathroom cloths are provided.
Bathrooms have hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner.

Mail/Deliveries

You're welcome to have things delivered to the house, but keep in mind that there is no mailbox key.
This is a pretty safe neighborhood, but porch pirates are an unfortunate reality in the area. We can't accept responsibility for lost or stolen packages.

Laundry

Washer, dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, iron, and ironing board are in the laundry room.
Clean the dryer lint trap after each use.

Heating & A/C

The top floor and the rest of the house are on different air conditioning units.
Use the digital thermostat in the front room to adjust temperature for the main floor and the basement.
Use the remote on the wall to adjust temperature for the master bedroom. If you have any issues figuring out the remote, here's a link to the manual for this unit.
Please don't set the main A/C below 70°F (21°C), as it isn't designed to go that low.
The house has heating and air conditioning, as well as ceiling fans throughout, but we also have some standing fans available for you to use. Depending on the season, they will either be out or in the Forest Room (bunk room) closet.

Parking

Park on the driveway or street (don’t block driveways or mailboxes).
Please follow where the garage ends and take care to not park on the neighbor's driveway.
Please do not park anywhere that isn't paved, as this is a code violation in Chandler.
Garage is not available.

Kitchen

You can use all kitchen tools and appliances (pots, pans, utensils, fridge, microwave, oven, Keurig, toaster).
Dish soap and detergent are provided.
Handwash pots, pans, knives, and baking sheets (don’t put them in the dishwasher).

TVs

TVs in the living room and master bedroom are smart TVs and/or have Roku devices. Clicking the power button on the Roku will turn both devices on and off.
Sign in to your own streaming accounts and remember to sign out before you leave.

Internet

Use the internet legally (no illegal downloads/uploads).

Safety

Fire extinguisher is by the fridge.
For emergencies, call or text 911.
Non-emergency police number: 480-782-4130.
Please don't drink and drive. Penalties are stiff, and everyone should get home safe! Consider one of the transportation options below.

Transportation

Public Transit	Closest stops: Alma School Rd & Ivanhoe St, Alma School Rd & Del Rio St (104). Find schedules on Google Maps or Valley Metro. Accessible Transit/Dial-a-Ride: 602-716-2200.
Rideshare/Taxi	Uber and Lyft are available. Taxi: Yellow Cab Arizona (480-888-8888), VIP Taxi (602-300-3000).
